It was our first full day of camp full of routines, activities, and traditions. It did rain here and there but the sun finally came out. Our recreation periods began giving campers the opportunity to participate in sports, swimming, boating and fishing, arts and crafts, ethnic dancing, and iconography. They also began workshop which is their religious education class. The campers are asking great questions and engaging in really thoughtful conversations. This week each age group will be rotating in various evening activities. Tonight, the blue shirts enjoyed yummy s'mores and learned how to do tie-dye. The green shirts participated in our camp carnival with games, face painting, a photo booth, and prizes. The yellow shirts participated in different field games such as sack races, water balloons, water gun bowling, tug-of-war, and frisbee tic-tac-toe.
Our teen program is off to a great start! We were blessed to welcome His Eminence Archbishop Michael as their workshop speaker. Later, they enjoyed different cultural activities such as ethnic dancing and pysanky.
We are looking forward to sunny weather tomorrow and more fun!
